This drawing depicts electron configuration in a atom: The big ball in the middle depicts the nucleus, and the little balls are electrons.
The color on the big ball in the middle is green for non-metals, blue for the noble gases, violet for actinoids, purple pink for transition metals, red alkali metals, gray for "other metals", yellow for halogens, orange for the alkaline earth metal arts and brown for half metals.
